The Hoenn State Trio Tourney is a tournament hosted by the Hoenn State VGC community on SHOWDOWN! This is the sister tournament to the Hoenn State Sky Cups we host on the Nintendo Switch. Feel free to join the discord and come hang out with us!

Let's have some fun with the 2nd Hoenn State Regulation D Tournament!

The Rules are as follows:

★ The Trio Tourney will use the VGC 2023 Regulation D rules.

★ This Tournament will be an Open Team Sheet Tournament, so don’t forget to submit your team list!

★ The Trio Tourney will be played in a Best of 3 format! Meaning, the first to win 2 games between you and your opponent will get the victory of the set.

★ Number of swiss rounds will depend on player number, players will be informed of this in the discord. This tournament will use an X-2 Top Cut so no bubbling out!

17-32 players > 5 swiss rounds > top cut right after

33-64 players > 6 swiss rounds > top cut right after

65-128 players > 7 swiss rounds > top cut right after

129-256 players > 8 swiss rounds > top cut right after

256+ players > 9 swiss rounds > top cut time determined by vote of players in top cut
