Welcome to Hoopa's New Groove

Hi fellow trainers, we welcome you to Hoopa's New Groove and the FOURTH edition of our competitive VGC tourney. Our goal is to provide players with a fun and competitive atmosphere to practice VGC for Premier Challenges, Regionals, International Championships.

About this Tournament

• Open Teamsheet (listing all team members, moves and tera types is mandatory to avoid game loss due to errors)
• The tournament will follow the BO3 Swiss Rounds format.
• Number of Swiss rounds depends on the number of people who join the tourney.
• Bring 6 Pokémon and choose 4!
• Top cut will be TOP 8 BO3 Single-elimination bracket
• Please try and be present in Discord throughout the tournament, this aids with any discrepancies e.g. OTS issues, trying to pair with opponent etc. Please join via https://discord.gg/hoopas-new-groove

• Games will be played on the Nintendo Switch.

REGULATION D Rules:

• Doubles Ruleset
• Pokémon Restrictions: Available National Pokédex.
• Pokémon Limits: Team of 4 to 6 Pokémon from Level 1 to Level 100. All Pokémon then set to Level 50
• Your Time: 10 Minutes
• Team Preview: 90 Seconds
• Turn Time: 60 Seconds

The eighth Ranked Battle Series allows for players to utilise all available Pokémon other than Restricted Legendary Pokémon. This includes Pokémon transferred from Pokémon HOME

The rounds will begin 5 minutes after the scheduled start time, and failure to check in after 10 minutes may result in a loss. You must be checked in to play, or you may be dropped.

Disconnection Process

• Both players are encouraged to take a screenshot of the disconnection, and any subsequent screens may help the judges/mods determine who disconnected from the game.
• If only one player provides proof, that player will receive a game win.
• If neither player can provide proof, the match will be replayed.
