Regulation D: Pokémon VGC Tournament Rules

Tournament Format a. The tournament will follow the Regulation D format. b. Matches will be conducted in a double battle format, where each player selects four Pokémon from their team of six for each battle. c. The tournament will consist of multiple rounds, including Swiss-style rounds followed by a playoff stage.

Team Composition a. Each player must have a team of six Pokémon in their party.

Pokémon Restrictions a. The tournament will have restrictions on the use of certain Pokémon to ensure a balanced and competitive environment. b. The list of restricted Pokémon is subject to change based on balancing adjustments made by the Pokémon Company International. c. The restricted Pokémon for this tournament are as follows: i. Mythical Pokémon ii. Restricted Legendary Pokémon d. Players are not allowed to use these restricted Pokémon on their teams. Any team found to include restricted Pokémon will be disqualified from the tournament.

Rule Updates a. All Galarian and Alolan forms of Pokémon already found in the Paldea Dex are allowed. b. All Hisuian forms are allowed in Pokemon. c. Certain starters found outside Paldea are allowed: Charizard, Typhlosion, Samurott, Greninja, Chesnaught, Delphox, Decidueye, Cinderace, Intelleon, and Rillaboom d. All sub-legendary Pokémon transferable by Pokémon Home into Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are allowed. e. All Pokémon transferable by Pokémon Home into Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are allowed.

Tournament Conduct a. Players must conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner throughout the tournament. b. Players must follow the instructions and guidelines provided by the tournament organizers. c. The tournament organizers reserve the right to investigate any suspicious activities or rule violations and take appropriate action, including disqualification or banning from future events.
