Round Start: To prevent players from missing check in, rounds will NOT start when every match is finished, but when the round timer is UP. The schedule is posted and will follow the schedule as closely as possible.
Tournament Streams: There are also streaming rooms in the discord. I would appreciate showing your games for entertainment for my stream channel. If your game makes it on stream, I will compensate with packs. These games add excitement and entertainment to all players and participants.
Tourneys are prized as follows:
• 1st - 20 codes • 2nd - 15 codes • 3rd-4th 5 codes • 5th-8th 2 codes
If you have any questions about the following rules please join the discord server to have any questions answered quickly.
RULES:
NO ID: With a tournament of this size, top 8 is often decided before the final round starts. This adds an extreme amount of excitement to the tournament, while minimizing the effect of RNG has.
Game Wins: Always take screenshots of Victory Screens because this is the only evidence that can be provided in an opponents dispute.
Check In Policy: Players must CHECK-IN within the first THREE minutes of each round. Failure to do so will result in a game loss. To ensure active players will be paired with active opponents, missing a check in may result in being dropped from the tourney.
Slow Playing: Is something I take very seriously. Please contact a judge IMMEDIATLY if you believe your opponent is slow playing. There is no harm in doing so, and will only be beneficial. I am unable to do anything after the round ends, so please be proactive when calling a judge to give maximum amount of time for the issue to be resolved.
This is another reason you should stream your games to prevent slow playing before it occurs. If a player has been accused multiple times that could lead to a drop and even a ban from future events.
Match Timers ON: When you challenge your opponent you must always enable the Timed Match option.
Wrong Deck Selected: If a player chooses the wrong deck by accident, they must declare immediately. If Deck Sharing is on, the opposing player should be able to verify that the deck was in fact incorrect and the game should be replayed.
Disconnections/Leaving a Game: In the event of a disconnect, the timer will continue to run while the player attempts to reconnect. Although disconnections are unfortunate, it must result in a game loss to prevent people from using it with malicious intent.
Stream Sniping: Although stream sniping is illegal and frowned upon, there is no way to prevent or prove that it is happening. Each player must prevent themselves by using a delay or blocking their hand from being seen.
TOP CUT: There is no official match check in or round timer. Matches and no shows will be handled at judges discretion. A unofficial timer will be going to prevent long drawn out control games.
The estimated time given will be around 50-60 minutes per match.
Each player will be given about 5 minutes in between rounds before a penalty is given.
