Base Set Remastered - A Custom Pokemon TCG Format

What is Base Set Remastered?

Base Set Remastered is an attempt to bring modern design principles back to the 1996 card game - specifically, the "Gameboy Format" of Base Set - Jungle - Fossil. Almost all Pokemon cards have been redesigned and rebalanced. Supporters were re-introduced to stop decks from accessing infinite resources. Special Conditions were redesigned to be more lore-friendly and have more impact on the game. More subtle changes, like increasing the amount of Colorless costs were included to make deckbuilding more fun and varied.

How do I play it?

There are two ways to play BSR, and the players must agree to one of them before playing each round. These are:

How do I enter? How is it organized?

This tournament is being organized on the Limitless platform, and it is organized by the Custom Pokemon TCG Community.
You can join our Discord to check for updates and discussions.

Format: This tournament is being run in the Swiss format, with best-of-3 rounds. The number of rounds is flexible, dependent on the number of participants.
Decklist: This tournament requires a decklist to participate. Given the nature of the format, you will have to prepare your decklist by hand.
Round limit: The round time limit is 7 days. Players have a week to submit their results.
Time limit: Because of the nature of the tournament, the games themselves do not have a time limit. However, abandoning the game for longer than 10-minutes is considered a forfeit.
Reporting: The game result must be reported on Limitless before the round ends. You may record/screenshot/stream your rounds and use that as proof at your own discretion.
