Welcome to the Helping Hands Biweekly. This is meant to be a FREE tournament for players of all backgrounds to gain some competitive experience in a small size tournament setting. This tournament is held the first and third friday of every month! The goal of these tournaments is to build a community and encourage new competitors to try out the tournament scene. The goal here is to HAVE FUN!

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

6 Rounds of Swiss BO1

Top cut single elimination BO3 (Top 8)

5 minute check-in per round, failure to check in will result in a loss

Failure to provide team sheet will result in drop

Team sheet must include pokemon, tera type, item, ability, and moves (no EVs or IVS). Team sheet must be updated prior to round 1. Failure to provide an ACCURATE team sheet will result in a drop from tournament.

To submit your team sheet after registration go to your dashboard and then go to the tournament title and press submit team sheet

BATTLE FORMAT

This tournament will be played using Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on the Nintendo Switch. Players must make sure to have a Nintendo Online subscription before the tournament starts.

Games will be played using the Ranked Series 2 Doubles ruleset. (THIS MEANS PARADOX POKEMON ARE ALLOWED BUT NO LEGENDARIES, think series 1 + paradox pokemon)

Team: Players have a team of 4 minimum but up to 6 Pokémon and use 4 of them in each game.

  • Battle Time: 20 Minutes
  • Your Time: 7 Minutes
  • Team Preview: 90 Seconds
  • Turn Time: 45 Seconds

Players must use the exact same team for the entire tournament.

Players may not use any two Pokémon of the same species.

Players may not use any two Pokémon holding the same item.

Disconnects

If a disconnect occurs both players MUST take a screenshot of the disconnect error otherwise it will result in a game loss.

To provide an error code, do the following...

TAKE A PICTURE OF THE ERROR CODE WITH AN YOUR PHONE. The error code will be a combination of letters and/or numbers. In your limitless match, click on CALL A JUDGE.

Team Sheets Discrepancies

It is the PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY to provide a full and accurate team sheet. Once the tournament has started, you will not be able to make any changes to your team sheet. Double check that your team sheet submission is correct

If a discrepancy is found WHILE a game is being played please call a judge. In the event that there is indeed a team sheet discrepancy the player that failed to provide an accurate team sheet will be penalized with a game loss. The player will be given the option to drop from the tournament or fix their team to match their posted team sheet.
