Welcome to Lily of the Valley!

Our goal is to provide players a good competitive atmosphere to be able to practice and get better at Pokémon VGC.

Tournament Setup:

Players must join the Discord server to play and receive tournament updates. Not being in the server during the tournament will result in a match loss.

Matches are played in game on Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl for the Nintendo Switch.

The tournament will operate under closed teamsheets and will follow the BDSP VGC Ruleset: Double Battles with 4 Pokémon out of a team of 6, Sinnoh National Dex, no Restricted Pokémon!

Battles will be played using Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. Make sure you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription and the latest game patch before playing.

All Pokémon in the National Pokédex are allowed, except for the ban list. Banned Pokémon: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Darkrai, Manaphy, Phione. Double Battles: bring teams of 6 Pokémon and choose 4 per battle. Item Clause: you may only use the same item once per team. Species Clause: you may only use the same Pokémon once per team.

Tournament Format:

The tournament will be run using Swiss rounds into a Single Elimination bracket of the Top 8 players.

Matches are Best of 3 throughout the entire event

Top 8 will begin play the next day!

Other Tournament Rules:

Please respect and listen to the Tournament Organizers and Judges. If you refuse to cooperate with us respectfully, you may receive a Game Loss or a Disqualification from the event. If you do not arrive on time for a match you may receive a game or match loss (5 minutes for g1, 10 minutes for g2). If you know you will be late to a match, please let the Tournament Organizer know so they can adjust accordingly.

If there are any issues, including an opponent not showing up, a disconnect, or an opponent being rude, please call a Judge using the 'Call a Judge' button in your match.

Prizing:

The winner will receive the funds for either Pokémon Scarlet or Violet!
