Our goal is to provide players a good competitive atmosphere to be able to practice and get better at Pokémon VGC Tournament Setup:

Players must join the Discord server to play and receive tournament updates. Not being in the server during the tournament will AUTOMATICALLY result in a match loss. Discord: https://discord.gg/B5b683N5pE

Matches are played in game on Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield for the Nintendo Switch.

The tournament will operate under closed teamsheets and will follow the Series 12 Ruleset: https://www.serebii.net/swordshield/rankedbattle/series12.shtml

Players must submit a teamsheet. EVs, IVs, and Natures are not needed.

$10 Entry to register, and the money will be used for Top 8 Prizing and the Invitational!

There will be instructions with pictures in our server as well.

Tournament Format:

The tournament will be run using Swiss rounds into a Single Elimination bracket of all players with a record of X-2 or better. Matches are Best of 3 throughout the entire event

Top 8 will begin play the NEXT day.

Other Tournament Rules:

Please respect and listen to the Tournament Organizers and Judges. If you refuse to cooperate with us respectfully, you may receive a Game Loss or a Disqualification from the event. If you do not arrive on time for a match you may receive a game or match loss (depending on how late you are). If you know you are going to be late to a match, please let the Tournament Organizer know so they can adjust accordingly. If you let us know you will be a few minutes late you may not receive an activity loss.

If there are any issues, including an opponent not showing up, a disconnect, or an opponent being rude, please call a Judge using the 'Call a Judge' button in your match.

Prizing:

The Top 8 Players will earn an invite towards our Invitational!

There will be prizing for the Top 8 players!

ACTIVITY:

10 minutes after pairings are announced: Game 1 Loss.

15 minutes after pairings are announced: Match Loss.

REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED TOWARDS PLAYERS WHO ARE NOT REGISTERED BY THE TIME REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED. FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE OR BEING DQ'D FROM A VIOLATION OF OUR RULES WILL NOT GRANT A REFUND. REFUNDS WILL TAKE 7-14 DAYS TO BE MANUALLY SENT BACK TO YOUR ACCOUNT.

PRIZING:

Prizing funded from the registration fees will be paid out to the PayPal account used to register for this event. $7 from each entry fee will be used as prizing for the Top 8 players, and the last $3 will be going back to the Tournament Staff. The prizing amounts will be finalized once the brackets are set up.
