Coin Flip Cube League

Cube League Season 3 - June 2021

Cube League is the premier Pokemon TCG Cube Draft tournament! All events are completely free and contribute to an invitation to the biannual Champion’s Cube, a live streamed, invite-only Cube event with a prize pool of $500!

This month’s event will feature Best Pal Al's Coin Flip cube, a cube with all eras of cards that centers around one key rule: you determine the outcome of your own non-special condition coin flips! You can see the rules and list on CubeKoga https://cubekoga.net/Cube/CoinFlip.

You must join the Pokemon TCG Cube Draft Discord server to participate in this event. Link here: https://discord.gg/SeewcExbFA.

To accommodate different schedules, there are three draft times, one at 12PM CDT Saturday, one at 6PM CDT Saturday and one at 12pm CDT Sunday. To sign up for the 6PM Saturday or 12PM Sunday draft time, register here and react to the associated announcement in #announcements in the Discord. Players are assumed to be registered for the 12PM Saturday pod by default. If you miss the 12PM Saturday draft time, you are still eligible to draft in the evening slot or Sunday slot, but anyone who misses all slots will be ineligible to draft and play in the event.

The draft will be conducted with a Google Sheets drafter, and all matches are to be played in Untap.in. Both platforms are free and easy to use, and they do not require you to own any cards digitally or physically.

Tournament Rules

  • You must be in the General Voice Channel in the Discord server at or before your desired draft time. From there, a headcount will be taken and people will be divided into pods. If you are not present at that time, you may be dropped from the event.

  • This event is played in the Cube Draft format. Participants draft their decks in pods of 6 to 8 from a predetermined pool of cards shuffled into randomized packs. Pod sizes are determined the day of the event, and they will all be the same size so as not to grant any advantage to smaller pods.

  • After the draft, players build their decks from their draft pool and submit their list visuals to the cube’s page in CubeKoga.net. Decklists are due 36 hours after the start of the first pod’s draft (Sunday Midnight CDT). Lists must be created in the respective event page, and they will automatically become public at round 1 start. If your list is not submitted by the deadline, you may be disqualified from the event.

  • Each round will have a minimum of a 5-day match timer. If all matches are completed early, the round will advance accordingly. The results of any unplayed matches at the deadline will be determined by the Admins based on player communication and availability. If neither player communicates or both players are equally at fault, a double match loss will be given. Matches are all Best of Three.

  • Please read all additional gameplay and draft rules here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jcXcMK6yv4RoKN0MmDAClvLiinCfRKhd1rnhKLU_gYE/edit.
