Welcome to Starter League #1 - Theme Format, organized by Carteado Sônico!

This is NOT a Brazilian-only event!

Please read all the rules and information to avoid issues and problems during registration or during the tournament.

General information and procedures

  • Entry in this tournament is completely FREE;
  • To participate in this tournament, you must register through Limitless Platform until 5:25 PM EST.
  • CHECK-IN will start at 4:30 PM EST and you have until 5:29 PM EST to check-in. If you don't, you will be dropped;
  • Players can switch their deck between rounds;
  • Prior to every match start, each player has 5 minutes to check-in in the round. If you don't, you will receive an automatic game loss;
  • Match disputes and issues will be solved by a judge. Use Request a Judge buttom to notify us if you have any issue. Don't try to contact judges in others means during the tournament;
  • Use Drop buttom to drop from the tournament;
  • You can easily find check-in, pairings, drop and tournament information in Dashboard;
  • If you're under 18, don't play without consent of your parents or guardians;
  • It's recommended to enter our Discord server and assign the @LitmitlessTournament role to yourself, then you will receive notifications about pairings, prizing, upcoming events, etc. You can do that in the channel #tournament-role. If you have any question, you can also contact us through Discord;
  • Please remember the priority of this event is to have fun.

Structure

  • Format: Theme (all available theme decks in PTCGO store, except the banned decks Soaring Storm - Dragonite and Zamazenta Theme Deck);
  • No decklist submission required;
  • BO1 Swiss (30 minutes per round);
  • BO3 Top 8 (60 minutes per round);
  • If there are less than 32 players, the number of rounds will be reduced to 5.
  • If there are 64 or more players, the number of rounds will be increased to 7 and top cut will be increased to Top 16;
  • Wins = 1 point, ties = 0.

Match Rules

  • In-game timer must be enabled for each match;
  • IDs (intentional draws) are NOT allowed;
  • In case of a tie in BO3, we will follow officl Play! Pokémon match resolution rules;
  • Players must report their own matches results. If a match don't have a reported result in time, that will be a double game loss;
  • Matches must NOT start before both opponents check-in. If this happen, the real match result will be ignored and that will be a double game loss;
  • The player who picks a deck that is not theme or uses a modified theme deck will receive a game loss.
  • The player who loses connection from the game and can’t manage to reconnect will receive a game loss;
  • Any unsporting conduct will be assessed and properly punished;
  • Any offensive or disrespectful behavior towards other players or staff will be assessed and properly punished;
  • Recurrence in any of the penalties mentioned above will be assessed and may result in a disqualification (DQ);
  • Staff is free to disqualify or deny registration of any player considered to be a threat to the tournament progress and/or to other players;
  • The harmed player has the responsibility to report penalties committed by the opponent and to show evidences that allow the staff to make the best decision;
  • Fair-play is encouraged and will be respected by the staff, if both players envolved come to terms.

Prizing

Prizing for this tournament will be PTCGO staples, distributed as follows (most of the cards are in the cheapest art):

  • 1st: Crobat V + Jirachi (VIV) + Jirachi (TEU)
  • 2nd: Crobat V + Dedenne-GX + Marnie
  • Top 4: Dedenne-GX + Boss' Order (Giovanni)
  • Top 8: Boss' Order (Giovanni) + Professor's Research (Magnolia) + 1 VIV pack
  • Top 16 (if applicable): Marnie + 1 VIV pack
Prizing is still subject to change and we're accepting donations to improve it.

This tournament is valid for Green Hill Series #1. You can find details about this series and its Points Structure here.

Please note SHSuperSonic and other staff members may play in the tournament, but they're not able to win any prizing and are not able to qualify for Green Hill Invitational.
