I lied. The points do matter. Top 8 players get automatic qualification into Day 2 of ToD: "Worlds" Championship. "Regional" winners automatically qualify. If a "regional" winner is in Top 8, their spot goes to the next person. If there is a tie, all the tied players qualify.
