Welcome to the X-3 Squad ft. Tan’i E-sports Tournaments!

How do I register?

This tournament has a series of trophies which are indicated in the following points.

To participate, there is a registration fee of €10 + €2 (taxes) that must be paid to our PayPal account. First, you need to join our Discord community: X-3 Squad Discord. Thanks to this, we will be able to locate you to ensure that the payment process is carried out correctly

To do the payment, all the account details will be provided in the upcoming Google Forms (The Google Forms will be CLOSED TO REGISTER the 05/04/2024 at 15:00 CEST), where you can also choose how you'd like to receive your registration code: Inscription Paypal Google Forms

At the Google Forms, you need to provide your PayPal email, where we will send you a payment request.

Once the payment is done, a personal, one use only, and non-transferable invitation code will be facilitated through your indicated way by the Forms we've already mentioned. This activation code should be used when registering on Limitless, and then proceed to indicate your Team Sheet which you will be using on the tournament.

And as we've mentioned, there's a series of prizes!

This tournament features a minimum prize pool of 1000€, but it may increase depending on the number of attendees. The prize will be distributed among the top 16 players of the competition as follows:

  • 1st place: 425€
  • 2nd place: 200€
  • 3rd and 4th place: 62,5€
  • 5th to 8th place: 31,25€
  • 9th to 16th place: 15,65 €

The prize will vary depending on the number of participants, always increasing!.

In case we reach 200 players or more, the prize will be distributed among the top 32!

Communication with the Tournament Staff:

Multiple announcements will be made during the tournament through the X-3 Discord channel. We encourage you to join in it for future tournaments as well to meet other Pokémon players. To gain access to the Discord Channel, you must click the following link:

Once you have access, remember to read the channel rules and visit the “Rangos” section, where you can choose your role by reacting to the corresponding icon. If you only want to join as a competitor, select the “swords” icon, but if you want to be part of the community, please select the “video game controller” icon.

After selecting your role, the server will activate the appropriate rooms for the tournaments. You will find the "info" section with frequently asked questions, the "tour" section where we will announce the rounds, and the "general tour" section where you can communicate for any questions.

Communication with the opponent:

To contact your opponent you must use the chat provided by the Limitless platform.

Tournament Format:

  • It will be played on Pokémon Scarlet/Violet for Nintendo Switch.

  • Regulation G.

  • Open Teamsheet (Pokémon, Forms, Abilities, Items, Move-sets, and Teratypes).

  • "Official Rules 2" in the game.

  • Matches will be best of 3 in both Swiss Format and Top Cut.

Tournament details:

  • Check-in will begin at 15:30 CEST on 05/04/2024.

  • The competition will start approximately at 16:00 CEST on 05/04/2024, and day 2's Top Cut will begin the following day at the same time.

  • Disrespect towards the staff and players will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination from the tournament.

  • Please request the intervention of a judge for any inconvenience.

We recommend reading the rules and procedures before starting to play.

Tournament Progression:

  • The top 16 players will advance to Day 2's Top Cut if the number of participants allows it.

  • If the Swiss format consists of 6 rounds or fewer, Top Cut will start immediately after the Swiss rounds.

Rounds:

Number of rounds is determined by the total number of participants. The format is as follows:

Total Participants: 16 and Under

  • 4 Swiss Rounds
  • Top 4 Cut

Total Participants: 17-32

  • 5 Swiss Rounds
  • Top 4 Cut

Total Participants: 33-64

  • 6 Swiss Rounds
  • Top 8 Cut

Total Participants: 65-128

  • 7 Swiss Rounds
  • Top 16 Cut

Total Participants: 129-258

  • 8 Swiss Rounds
  • X-2 or Better

Total Participants: 259+

  • 9 Swiss Rounds
  • X-2 or Better

Contingencies, Errors, and Procedures:

  • In case of disconnection, request the intervention of a judge who will provide instructions on how to proceed in the game. If there is a clear cause, a "game loss" will be given.

  • If the Team Sheet is presented with any mistakes, a "game loss" will be given. Ensure that everything matches correctly, and if an error is identified, request the intervention of a judge.

  • If a player does not check-in within the 10-minute window, a "game loss" will be given. If the player is in a match but forgot to check-in, contact a judge for assistance.

  • If a player fails to show up without justification at any round during the tournament, they will be dropped from the tournament. Please inform an administrator of any potential absence.

Recommendations to Avoid Disconnections:

To prevent potential disconnections or online bans, it is recommended to connect through "Union Circle," where one player will be the host and the other the guest. Once set up, the game can be started by selecting "Official Rules 2" in the game.

Use of Rental Teams:

Their use is permitted, but remember that it is your responsibility if it does not match the Team Sheet, and you may not be able to edit it in that circumstance.

In X-3 and Tan’i we are proud of presenting our series of Pokémon VGC tournaments.

X-3 is currently a Pokémon VGC community born in 2023 that has rapidly made its mark in the VGC community thanks to its practice and learning dynamics, its good atmosphere and the players who are part of it. In the future, X-3 aspires to form its own Pokemon VGC team under the same name, having the results of its current players as a foundation to support its goal.

The Tan’i E-sports team is composed of passionate e-sports and video game enthusiasts who work under the philosophy of companionship, equality, and camaraderie. They see in Pokémon one of the most enduring and exciting e-sports, and Tan’i competes in both national and international tournaments, even participating in the World tournament with players like Jordi Casado or Joan García.
