HOW TO PLAY

Step #1: This is an invitation-only event for player who earned 10+ Points in the Circle Circuit series (Events #1-10). Qualifying players received a unique registration code that can be used to register for the event.

Step #2: Send your 2 decklists to Rabidragon via DM on Discord by November 14 @ 6:00pm EST.

Matches are played on the Pokemon TCG Live application. This event features flexible scheduling and will progress over the course of several weeks. You will have 3 Days to coordinate and complete your match against each opponent.

STRUCTURE: DOUBLE-ELIMINATION

This event features a double elimination bracket.

  • If you have not yet lost a match, you are on the "Winner's Bracket". Everyone begins the tournament here.
  • If you lose a match, you fall to the "Loser's Bracket". You'll be paired with other opponents who also have 1 match loss.
  • If you lose a second match, you are eliminated from the event.

The tournament finals will consist of the last player remaining on the Winner's Bracket and the last player remaining on the Loser's Bracket. Those two remaining players will compete in a single BO3 final match to determine the tournament champion!

DECK RULES

This tournament features two unique sets of deck rules. The deck you use during the event depends on your current bracket position!

Both decklists must be submitted to the organizer on Discord prior to the start of the event (see details above).

Deck #1: "Modified Standard GLC" (Winner's Bracket)

  1. Your deck must be legal in the TCG's Standard format.
  2. All Pokémon in your deck must be the same type.
  3. You may only have ONE copy of each card in your deck. This rule applies to all Pokémon, Trainers, and Special Energy in your deck. (Basic energy is not restricted.) Note that you can use Pokemon with the same name as long as each copy is functionally different.
  4. Rule Box Pokémon are NOT allowed.

Deck #2: "Type Hype" (Loser's Bracket & Tournament Finals)

  1. Your deck must be legal in the TCG's Standard format.
  2. All Pokémon must have at least one of the following types in their ABILITY or ATTACK NAMES: typelist rules
  3. If you have an Evolution Pokemon in your deck that meets the requirement above, you may also play its prior stages of evolution (those cards are exempt from the rule)
  4. Rule Box Pokémon are limited to ONE copy of each card name.
  5. There are no restrictions on Trainer or Energy.

TOURNAMENT POLICIES

3-Day Scheduling / 24-Hour Contact: Players will have 3 days to complete the match with their opponent after it becomes available. You MUST complete check in and initiate contact with your opponent within the first 24 hours. We will be keeping the tournament running on schedule, so if a player is generally inflexible on scheduling or non-responsive to messages they will receive the match loss so we can move forward.

Going First/Second: The winner of the coin flip decides who goes first for Game 1.  For Games 2 & 3, the loser of the prior game gets to decide who goes first.  (In cases where the winner of the previous game wins the coin flip and selects the wrong option by accident, the opponent is entitled to request a restart of the affected game.)

Game Loss Due to Connectivity/App Issues or Player Mistakes: It is league policy that each game that is initiated should count toward the match outcome. Some unfortunate situations may arise during gameplay — a player’s game may end or become unresponsive due to internet or app issues, the player may choose the wrong deck, etc. In those cases, that player should accept the game loss.

Illegal Decklist: If a player is discovered to have submitted a deck that does not comply with the rules, they will be dropped from the event without exception. It is the player’s responsibility to submit a legal decklist in advance; no changes of any kind are allowed once the event has started.

Family Friendly Community: We welcome players of all ages. You are expected to conduct yourself appropriately and keep discussions polite. Inappropriate content in the form of usernames, language used in chat, or in any other context is subject to removal from the event.

Need Help?: If you have any questions or concerns during the event, use the "Request a Judge" button here on Limitless or get in touch with @rabidragon or @SuperiorSpidr on Discord.
