This is a free-to-enter, open-entry Pokémon Champions VGC tournament held in memory of my late best friend. Their birthday is July 27, but because that falls on a Monday this year, the tournament will take place on Sunday, July 26 so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to participate.

Last year, we hosted the first Nikita Vlasenko Memorial Invitational. Since then, we have continued honoring Nikita through smaller Memorial Cup events focused on competitive Pokémon, community, mental-health awareness, and suicide prevention.

This is a one day tournament that will feature a $500 prize pool distributed among the Top 8 players, alongside an official Tiltify fundraising campaign supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. 8 rounds of Swiss, same day Top 32 Cut.

Prizing for the Tournament: (Payment will be provided within 10 business days following the end of the event.)

Our goal is simple: bring the competitive Pokémon community together, celebrate Nikita’s life, support suicide-prevention, and spend the day playing Pokémon until only one player remains.
