SMOGON VGC MAJOR

Welcome to the sitewide Smogon VGC Major! The format will be a two-day Swiss Format followed by asymmetrical Top Cut. The number of Swiss rounds will be decided by number of player signups. Players with 2 or fewer losses on Day 1 will qualify for Day 2 Swiss. Players with 2 or fewer losses through both Day 1 and Day 2 Swiss rounds will qualify to the final asymmetrical Single-Elimination Top Cut bracket.

Signups will be open until 30 minutes before the event begins! Make sure to create a Limitless account to register, and submit your teamsheet before the tournament begins. Failure to submit a teamsheet will remove you from the tournament.

The tournament will take place on Pokémon Showdown!'s main server!

Prize: $1000 + Donations, a Custom Avatar on Pokémon Showdown!, and a unique Smogon forum banner!

(The cash prize is the minimum amount awarded pending further donations)

The tournament will be streamed on Twitch through the SmogonU channel!

You are required to save your replays in the event of a dispute! You do not have to post them or make them public, but make sure to have them available. For those unfamiliar with the PS! interface, to save and get a link to the replay of your game, click on the "Upload and share replay" button that appears below the battle screen after it completes (see image). This will then give you a link that can be used to view the replay. If you click "Download replay", the replay will instead be saved to your computer, which we do not have access to. To then make the replay private to people to people who are not given a link to the replay, type /hidereplay in the battle chat window and press enter.

IF YOU HAVE NOT USED LIMITLESS BEFORE PLEASE READ: You will automatically be paired, visible in the section that is called "Pairings." Click on your match to see a chat with your opponent. IN THIS CHAT, YOU MUST CLICK CHECK IN. If you do not do so, you will automatically lose the match after 10 minutes. Once you have completed your match, you must submit the score by clicking "I won Game 1" or "I lost Game 1" and on in that same match page. Once the round is done for everyone, you will be automatically paired with someone new. The image below is what the UI should look like in your match:
